I will share thoughts on a variety of subjects and would encourage readers to comment as they wish. I may, however, edit responses to keep dumb asses from showing themselves!

POTUS, for short
Well crap! I didn't think I would be ready to run for President this year, but, look at the buggers we have as probable candidates. A Clown with no ability to marshal a complete sentence, a mind and mouth without any filter, no serious answer to any of the myriad of problems facing this country and an innate ability to capture the attention of our incredibly moronic news media. On the flip side, we have a candidate that cannot escape controversy. She is blamed for nearly every despicable happening in the last two decades, weather on not she had any actual involvement. Obviously she has taken money from all sorts of devious people and countries, as if that is new to our political system.
Each Candidate has spent countless hours and money to continue to tell us what a complete ass the other candidate is. Obviously, the American voting public cares more about who wins the mud slinging than what real abilities a candidate has to identify and help solve issues facing us.
Because of the lack of a serious candidate, I feel compelled to throw my hat in the ring. I shall run on the Indrecrat ticket. What is that, you say? That's a party that has no boundaries. We have no isles to cross, no established controlling entity and no reason to not do what is right. After all, I have the opinion that is what our elected officials are supposed to be doing.
So, I need a platform to run on. Well, sit back and take a gander at my list of issues to work on. They are listed in my perceived order of importance.
1- National debt
2-National trade deficit
3-National infrastructure
4-Immigration policies
5-Tax structure
6-Welfare system
7-Social security system
8-Elected personnel terms and responsibilities
9-Tort reform
10-Pork attachments to bills
I will address each of these points in detail over the next couple days. Let me offer a few thoughts on item number one right now to start you thinking. Our National debt is extremely out of control and there is no visible sign that anyone in our political system has any concern. We constantly drive the debt up with stupid spending practices and an un-willingness to make the hard choices needed to reign it back. How and why in hell did we give up control to a gaggle of corrupt politicians? I say corrupt because the fact that we are in this predicament means we are being taken advantage of and our money is being spent foolishly. A balanced budget should not be anything other than a requirement of our elected officials. Failure to do so should result in a simple firing. What other business on earth allows upper management to continually drive debt up and up?
So, how do we right the ship? Spending has to be brought back in control. We simply cannot continue to blindly spend money on countries and conflicts that have no value in doing so. Government costs should never exceed fair market value. We continually spend more for items for government use. Military expenditures need examined for actual need, ie replacement of aging equipment that is not to be abandoned in some foolish foreign conflict. We need to force other countries to take care of their own problems. Harsh, I know, but, we cannot continually finance other countries while we do so with borrowed money. Entitlement programs should require some effort to be received. Drug testing should be mandatory for inclusion in these programs. (see items 6&7 in future posts) In short, money cannot be spent on a whim. Item #10 will deal with a major problem with our budget.
I love living in this country. I love the freedoms we have and the prosperity that is possible. I cannot imagine that there is a better place on Earth, but, I have concerns for the future. So, join me on a quest to actually make this a better place to live.
My name is DINO and I am running for President of the United States. (That's POTUS for short)
