bite Al

The fifth snowy-est winter of record.  Tomorrow begins our Spring season.  Next weeks forecast is for temperatures around 20 degrees below normal.  Even the possibility of more snow!

Is anyone else tired, more so than normal?  If Al Gore were here I'd punch him in the nose.  It's his fault,  he pissed off mother nature with all his Global Warming crap.

Well all you Polar Bears,  take heart,  the Ice Age is upon us.  You will have no shortage of area to roam!!!  When you see Al,  bite him in the tucus.

Driving with blinders.

Mary Barra,  that's the head cheese at General Motors.  Seems she inherited a really nasty problem.  Apparently GM made millions of cars that the key switch randomly turned itself off.  When you turn off the key at 60 miles per hour, you can no longer steer or brake.  That becomes interesting in a hurry.  If you are quick minded you can turn the key back on.  Problem is several people were not quick and died.

Reports are that GM knew about the problem a long time ago.  Maybe 10 years.  The sticky part is they didn't tell anyone or create a recall.  Somewhere in the process they did fix the problem but didn't make it retro-active by way of a recall.

Mary, now on the hot seat ,  says they (GM) need to fix their process.  I find it interesting that She thinks the problem is that the system did not fix the engineering problem.  I think the broken part of the system is that a decision was made to not spend the money needed to fix the millions of cars already infected with a defective switch.  Fresh off of a Government bailout,  GM most assuredly decided it better to keep quiet and not suffer the losses associated with such a massive recall.

I am appalled that GM has not taken  responsibility for the deaths that occurred due to their faulty engineering.  It is one thing to make a mistake, it is entirely different to sweep such problems under the rug.  It seems that even large companies are guilty of driving while blind.

Lost not found

Somebody lost an airplane.  Not one of those little propeller driven things,  but a really big one with jet engines the size of small houses.  Seems that no one was watching and it just disappeared.  One minute its flying along and the next ......poof.....gone.

So it fell out of the sky.  Maybe it blew up.  Maybe aliens abducted it.  Or, some dark forces have stolen it and landed it somewhere secretive.  Probably a triangle similar to what Bermuda has.  It has been almost two weeks and no sign of it anywhere.  We have been searching everywhere.  No one really knows where we should search,  we just look here and there with the hope of getting lucky.

It does seem to me that in this day and age of electronic surveillance by every person on earth and all the Government agencies with spy capabilities,  someone should have a better idea of where this flying monstrosity is.  One thing we know for sure is that it is no longer flying.  Nothing that runs on gas has the capacity to stay in the air for two weeks.

It is sad that so many families may have lost loved ones. Never know when and where you may not be as safe as you should be.  It will be interesting to see what the fate of this flight was.

STOLEN

RUSSIA STOLE CRIMEA!!!  Who gives a crap?

Ukraine  is in turmoil, so naturally we (the United States)  has to get involved.  After all,  we are the only ones that know what is good for the Ukranians.  Poor un-enlightened bastards don't understand that we know best.  They seem to have this funny notion that they get to decide their own path.  Heck,  if they don't change their tune we may just have to send some military over there.  If things aren't messed up enough, just let us have a crack at it.  We are the masters of screw-ups.  Just look at our results in Iran, Iraq, Afganistan, Viet Nam, etc......

We are plenty pissed at the Russians for stealing Crimea.  Funny thing is Crimea has been a part of the Soviet Union for EVER.  They want to continue their association with Russia.  They even held an "election" to agree to becoming part of the Soviet Union again after  a short stint as part of Ukraine.

It seems to me we are caught in the age old problem of not wanting something until someone else wants it.  We have an unsurmountable debt, yet we seem to think we should have yet another problem child to spend money on.  Is anyone else tired of taking on the problems of every other country while we choke on our own problems.

Sometimes we should just let someone else steal a problem.
